Bone mineral content

Improve bone mineral content with Preotact®

Osteoporosis is a bone disease in which bone mineral content is reduced resulting in increased risk of bone fracture. Osteoporosis is most common in women after menopause, as estrogen deficiency following menopause is correlated with a rapid reduction in bone mineral content - this is also known as postmenopausal osteoporosis.

Preotact® is a new parathyroid hormone that is approved for the treatment of osteoporosis in post-menopausal women at high risk of fractures, as it can increase bone mineral content and reduce bone fractures. Patients take Preotact® as a daily injection. The Preotact™ Pen is specially designed for osteoporosis patients, making it easy for them to inject.
