Preotact® - osteoporosis treatment 

Preotact® provides osteoporosis treatment by increasing bone density. Preotact® is a full-length parathyroid hormone (PTH) osteoporosis treatment for postmenopausal osteoporosis patients to reduce the risk of bone fracture. Parathyroid hormone stimulates bone formation and increases trabecular bone density, which can improve bone microarchitecture and restore bone quality and quantity of the osteoporosis patient.

Parathyroid hormone is a 84 amino acid protein that is synthesised and secreted in the parathyroid glands and subsequently released in the systemic circulation. Osteoporosis treatment with parathyroid hormone stimulates production of the active vitamin D3 metabolite, which increases absorption of calcium from the small intestine.
