Preotact® – treatment of osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a bone disease that reduces bone mineral density, disrupts bone microarchitecture and alters the amount and variety of non-callagenous proteins in bones which can increase the risk of bone fracture. Osteoporosis is most common in women after menopause this is also known as postmenopausal osteoporosis. Due to risk of bone fracture osteoporosis can affect life expectancy and quality of life. The most common areas of bone fracture associated with osteoporosis are the spine, hip and wrist.

Preotact® offers treatment for osteoporosis by increasing bone density. Preotact® is a full-length parathyroid hormone (PTH) therapy for postmenopausal osteoporosis patients to reduce the risk of bone fracture.
