Osteoporosis treatment with Preotact®

Preotact® provides osteoporosis treatment for postmenopausal osteoporosis patients by increasing bone mineral density. Preotact® is a full-length parathyroid hormone that can stimulate bone formation and increase trabecular bone density, which can improve bone microarchitecture and restore bone quality and quantity.

Injecting Preotact® into the abdomen can produce an increase in plasma parathyroid hormone levels, and achieves a peak at 1 to 2 hours after dosing. Studies have demonstrated that patients treated with Preotact® have a 61 % relative risk reduction of a new vertebral bone fracture.
