Osteoporosis is a bone disease in which bone resorption exceeds bone formation resulting in reduced bone mineral density that increases risk of bone fracture. Osteoporosis and reduced bone formation is most common in women after menopause due to estrogen deficiency this is also known as postmenopausal osteoporosis. 

Preotact® is a new treatment that can stimulate bone formation. Preotact® is a parathyroid hormone that can build bone and reduce the risk of osteoporosis related fractures. Parathyroid hormone is an anabolic bone stimulating agent. It is injected daily to stimulate bone formation and increase bone mass.
